Complementary Therapies

Color Therapy, Reflexology & Zone Therapy

Alongside Reiki and chakra work, Zeita practises three complementary body-based therapies: color therapy, reflexology and zone therapy. Each works with the body's own maps — colour frequencies, reflex points and energy zones — to encourage relaxation and natural flow.

Color therapy

Colour carries frequency, and the body responds to it — most of us know the difference a red room and a blue room make before we can explain it. Color therapy (chromotherapy) works with this deliberately, using colour and light to support mood, energy and balance.

Each of the seven chakras is associated with its own colour — red at the root, orange at the sacral centre, yellow at the solar plexus, green at the heart, blue at the throat, indigo at the third eye and violet at the crown. In a session, colour is brought to the centres that need it: through coloured light, cloth and visualisation, often woven into a Reiki or chakra balancing session rather than standing alone.

People tend to seek out color therapy for flat mood, low energy, and the sense that a particular area of life — grounding, expression, confidence — needs feeding.

Reflexology

Reflexology maps the whole body onto the feet: organs, glands and systems each correspond to a reflex point. By applying precise, firm pressure to these points, a reflexology session works the entire body without ever leaving the feet.

A session is unhurried. You rest shoes-and-socks-off in a reclined position while each foot is worked in turn — the pressure firm enough to feel purposeful, never painful. Most people find reflexology one of the most immediately relaxing therapies in the practice, and it suits those who prefer tangible, physical bodywork to subtle energy work.

Reflexology is commonly explored for stress, poor sleep, tired legs and feet, and general holistic wellness.

Zone therapy

Zone therapy is the tradition reflexology grew from. It divides the body into ten longitudinal zones, each running from head to toe — five on each side of the midline, ending in the fingers and toes. Working the feet and hands within a zone is understood to encourage flow through everything that zone contains.

In practice, Zeita works zone therapy and reflexology together: the zones give the broad map, the reflex points give the detail. The result is a session that addresses the whole body systematically through the feet and hands.

How these therapies fit the wider practice

Color therapy speaks the same language as chakra balancing; reflexology and zone therapy give the practice its firmest, most physical ground. Many clients pair a foot-based session with energy work — the body settled from below, the energy system balanced from above. If you are unsure where to start, Reiki or reflexology are both gentle first doors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a reflexology session involve?

You rest in a reclined chair or on the table, shoes and socks off, while pressure is applied to reflex points across the feet. It is firm but never painful, and most people find it deeply relaxing.

Is color therapy used on its own?

It can be, but it is most often woven into a chakra balancing or Reiki session — using the colour each energy centre responds to in order to deepen the work.

What is the difference between reflexology and zone therapy?

Zone therapy is the older framework — the body mapped into ten longitudinal zones. Reflexology grew from it, mapping the organs and systems onto precise reflex points in the feet. In practice the two are worked together.

Do these therapies treat medical conditions?

No. They are complementary practices for relaxation, balance and wellbeing, used alongside — never instead of — conventional medical care.
